I have a date in mind but I’m still not sure – can you hold it for me?
Sorry guys, we get bookings up to 6 months in advance so we’ll try to help you out but we can’t guarantee a date for you until you have paid a deposit. You’re welcome to pay this via bank transfer or over the phone by credit card if this is more convenient.
Why the bond? Will you charge me if I drop a glass?
This is just to cover us for cancellations, theft, vandalism or breakage. As long as your chums don’t punch a hole through the wall, walk out with a Moroccan lantern under their shirt or light our daybeds on fire you should be hunky dory and we’ll refund the bond to you in the week following your function.
Can I bring my own DJ?
Absolutely! We supply the table and speakers, just tell your guy to bring his decks & mixers and he/she can keep the party rocking til our 1am close.
Any other music options?
There sure are. Bring along your ipod and we have a cable to attach it to our sound system or alternatively bring along cds for us to play OR tell us your style of music and we’ll organize some tunes from our music supply. House, eighties, jazz, pop, whatever you want!
Will I be shocked with a horrendous bar tab at the end of my night?
Don’t stress. We want to relieve you of all financial worries on your party night so we will update you throughout the night to let you know where your tab is at AND you are free to change the terms of your tab throughout the night. For example: If your guests are going through the tab quite quickly you can take out certain drinks (like cocktails or shooters) to make it last longer, OR if we get to the speeches and not many people are drinking you can add on a round of shots for your best mates.
I’m not sure about food yet, can I confirm it later?
Why not? Wait until you know your numbers, check out our packages and then just make sure we know no later than two weeks in advance.
What are the benefits of ordering food?
Our entire menu is prepared fresh by a highly skilled chef and helps to satisfy early arrivers who have probably skipped dinner. In our experience if guests get peckish during the night they tend to leave the party temporarily (or for good) in search of munchies. Offering something to snack on keeps your friends happy and your party pumping! And we don’t just dump plates on a buffet table – we arrange super friendly waitresses to personally serve all your guests and make sure not one person misses out on a particular tasty item!
Can my sweet lil’ Grandma bake me a cake?
Bring it on! Any birthday cake you want to organize yourselves beforehand just hand it to us at the start of the night – just make sure it doesn’t need refrigeration. When you’re ready for the cake let us know 15 minutes prior and we will light your candles, bring it out with a knife and then whisk it away to be cut and passed around on napkins by our lovely waitresses ($15 service fee)
What if we don’t meet the minimum spend?
The minimum spend is the total amount spent on the bar including your tab and extra money your guests spend themselves. In our experience, if each of your guests have 3 to 4 drinks you should be fine and dandy. Have a chat to our function coordinator if you need more info.
Anything else I can bring for the night?
Don’t forget our sexy plasma! Any dvds you want screening throughout the night - bring them along. Any photos of the birthday boy or girl (preferably in shamelessly embarrassing poses) put them into jpeg format on a CD and we can play them as a slide show all night (especially effective during speeches!).
Can I swap some of the food items in the packages?
By all means. However we can only offer the discounted package rate with all the specific items listed so if you do change the package it will be more expensive. Plus the items we’ve chosen for our packages are generally the most popular! |
